Atlassian Data Center is ending — here’s what it means for Midori customers

By now, you’ve probably heard the news: Atlassian has announced the end of Data Center.
From March 2029, Atlassian products will be available exclusively on Cloud.

While this may feel like a major shift, there’s no need to panic. Atlassian is providing a long runway, and the ecosystem is ready — including Midori.

At Midori, our message is simple: we’re here to support you every step of the way!

What does this mean for Midori app users?

The good news is: all Midori apps are already available on Atlassian Cloud.

They’ve been on the Marketplace for several years, which means they are now feature-rich, stable, and enterprise-ready. Today, the majority of our installations already run on Cloud — including deployments at large global enterprises in highly regulated industries. And with our SOC 2 Type II certification, you can trust that our Cloud apps meet the highest security and compliance standards.

💡 In fact, in many cases our Cloud apps go beyond their Data Center equivalents. Because we started from scratch, we had the opportunity to redesign them with Cloud in mind, incorporating the lessons we learned from years of supporting Data Center customers.

That said, we’re not abandoning Data Center just yet. We remain fully committed to maintaining our Data Center apps until the final Atlassian Data Center release. This includes compatibility updates, bug fixes, and adjustments to platform changes along the way.

In other words: you can keep running your Midori apps on Data Center until the very last day — and when you’re ready to move, the Cloud versions will be there for you.
